The School of International Education at Zhejiang Polytechnic University of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering (ZUME) has organized a series of 2025 Spring Festival events for international students in China. These events aim to help students experience Chinese New Year and culture, enrich their winter vacation life, and enhance their sense of belonging.
Writing "Fu" Character, Experiencing Chinese Culture.
In the Nan'an Art Center at the Binjiang Campus, international students from Myanmar, Sri Lanka, and elsewhere gathered to write the "Fu" character with ink brushes. Teachers guided them and explained the Spring Festival's history and significance. Dean Tao Yu demonstrated, wrote couplets, and wished the students success in their studies and life in China.
Visiting Museum, Exploring Chinese History
At the Zhejiang Provincial Museum's Zhijiang Campus, ZUME students admired ancient Chinese architecture and artifacts, gaining insight into China's rich history. A Myanmar student expressed amazement at China's historical and cultural heritage, thankful for the visit that broadened horizons and made them feel at home.
Enjoying New Year's Eve Dinner, Tasting Chinese Flavor
The 2025 New Year's Eve dinner for international students at the Binjiang Campus featured dishes like stir-fried beef, steamed fish, and bamboo shoots with duck. Dean Tao Yu's speech highlighted the festive atmosphere, wishing the students a successful and fulfilling 2025 at ZUME.
Visiting and Consoling, Celebrating Chinese New Year
During the winter vacation, ZUME's School of International Education closely monitored the students' well-being, with leaders visiting and consoling them. The Student Affairs Office and Foreign Affairs Office developed management and emergency plans to ensure smooth teaching,cultural activities, and daily life, enabling international students to have a safe, peaceful, and fulfilling Spring Festival.
