The 2025 Graduation Ceremony of China-Foreign Cooperative Program Students and International Students in The School of International Education Hel

On the afternoon of June 10, the graduation ceremony for the 2025 cohort ofChina-foreign cooperative programstudentsand international students at the International EducationSchoolwas successfully held in the auditorium on the 4th floor of the Comprehensive Building atBinjiangCampus.ZUME's president, HeXingyue, party committee deputy secretary ChenJianbo, party committee member and vice president DaiGuanglin, Vice President Deborah Johnston, International Affairs Assistant Principal StuartBennermanof the London SouthBankUniversity, Vice President JohnQiuofBox Hill Institute in Australia, the head of the School of Admissions and Employment Wen Changsheng, the deputy director of Student Affairs ZhouQiaojun, the deputy director of Academic Affairs Rong Xiao, the deputy director of Security XuZhenqian, Dean TaoYu of the International EducationSchool, Deputy Secretary WangZibao, Vice President ZhangWeizhong, British faculty representatives JimMacNnes,MuddesarIqbal,MuddesarsMaryam, Atif Raza, and Australian faculty representatives PaulTero, Justin Richardson, Neil Li attended. The ceremony was presided over by GaoShuqin, the Party General Branch Secretary of the International EducationSchool.

HeXingyuedelivered a speech on behalf ofZUME. He extended warm congratulations and best wishes to all graduates and expressed deep respect and sincere gratitude to the teachers from foreign institutions andZUMEwho have nurtured, supported, and accompanied the students 'growth and success. He noted that in the era of globalization and industrial transformation, we have collectively witnessed a significant milestone in the internationalization of China's vocationaleducation. The outstanding achievements of 'dual diplomas + international certificates' highlight the innovative practices of vocational education in connecting with the world. Students from around the globe have gathered atZUME, this warm family, where they have honed their global competence through the fusion of diverse cultures, embodying the contemporary spirit of craftsmanship characterized by 'practicality, precision, and innovation.'

As they depart, HeXingyueshared three expectations for the students: first, to embrace the world and be practitioners of cross-cultural dialogue. With an open and inclusive mindset, they should embrace diverse cultures, build bridges of understanding and trust through international cooperation, and make vocational education a bridge connecting China with the world; second, to stand at the forefront and be pioneers of new productive forces. In the wave of digital transformation and industrial change, they should break through disciplinary boundaries with a pioneering spirit, solve practical problems with innovative thinking, and jointly promotethe coordinated upgrade of the global industrial chain; third, to strive for excellence and be inheritors of the craftsman spirit. No matter where they are, they should approach their profession with meticulous attention to detail, allowing the light of vocational education to illuminate the path of common human development.

Deborah Johnston, representingLondonSouth BankUniversity, congratulated the students on their successful graduation and extended her best wishes. She noted that the consistent cooperation and tacit understanding between the two institutions have led to significantachievements, nurturing the 2025 graduates who are self-disciplined and strive for excellence. She hopes that the students will remain true to their original aspirations, continue to improve, and contribute to their respective industries through concrete actions, thereby enhancing the reputation of 'Mechanical and Electrical Students.'

JohnQiu, representingBox Hill Institute inAustralia, delivered a speech, extending his most sincere graduation wishes to all the 2025 graduates. He noted that from their initial naivety and confusion upon enrollment to their current composure and confidence, the journey of growth has been ajoyful and memorable experience. He hopes that after graduating fromZUME, the students will continue to retain and cultivate their pure 'childlike heart.'

Three foreign teachers, Maryam, Iqbal, andTero, read out the names of graduates from the majors of intelligent manufacturingequipment technology, Internet of Things application technology, and international economics and trade. Lin Er, the director of the Chinese Language Teaching Office, read out the names of the international students' graduates. The school president, HeXingyue, the vice president of London South Bank University, Deborah Johnston, and the vice president ofBox Hill Institute, JohnQiu, presented the graduation certificates to the graduates.

WangTieming, representing the faculty, addressed the 2025 graduates. She congratulated them on their successful completionof their studies and wished them all the best in the future, encouraging them to maintain their passion for their dreams and pursue them with dedication. Xu Chang, a representative of the International Trade Class of 2022, expressed gratitude to the school, teachers, and family and friends.She pledged to remember the school motto 'Three Aspirations' and to bring honor to heralma mater. LingLing, a representative of the international students, thanked the Chinese government, the University, and the International EducationSchool, and wished everyone a bright future.

Tao Yu, Dean of the International EducationSchool, read out the list of outstanding graduates from theZhejiangprovince. The certificates were presented to the students by ChenJianbo, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, and StuartBennerman, Assistant to the Provost for International Affairs atLondon South BankUniversity. Rong Xiao, Deputy Director of the Academic Affairs Office, read out the list of outstanding graduates fromBox Hill Institute. The awards were presented to the students by Justin Richardson, a teacher fromBox Hill Institutein Australia. ZhouQiaojun, DeputyMinister of the Student Affairs Department, read out the list of outstanding graduates from the school. The awards were presented to the graduates by DaiGuanglin, Vice President ofZUME. XuZhenqian, Deputy Director of the Security Department, readout the list of outstanding graduates from the international student class. The awards were presented to the outstandinggraduates from the international student class by ZhangWeizhong, Deputy Dean of the International EducationSchool. WangZibao, Deputy Secretary of thePartyGeneral Branchat the International EducationSchool, read out the list of alumni liaison officers for the 2025 cohort. The certificates were presented to the students by Wen Changsheng, Director of the Admissions and Employment Office.
