To Discuss the International Development of Vocational Education, Jiaxing Vocational and Technical College Visited for Research And Exchange

On April 27, a delegation of seven members from Jiaxing Vocational and Technical College, including Wang Yan, Vice President, Fang Yiqun, Dean of the International Education School, Luo Xiaojun, Deputy Dean of the Modern Fashion School, and Zhao Jian, Deputy Dean of the Internet College, visited our university for a research and exchange visit. Tao Yu, Dean of the International Education School, Wang Zibao, Deputy Secretary of the Party General Branch, and the director of the International Trade Teaching and Research Office, along with heads of relevant departments, participated in the symposium, which was chaired by Dean Tao Yu.

At the meeting, Dean Tao Yu, on behalf of the International Education School, warmly welcomed the visiting colleagues from other universities and provided a detailed introduction to ZUME's international development journey, the construction of distinctive bilingual courses, the branding of China-foreign cooperative education programs, the effectiveness of student training, and the management model for international students. Vice President Wang Yan expressed sincere gratitude for the school's warm reception, praised the achievements made by our school in international education, and introduced Jiaxing Vocational and Technical College's proactive exploration and practice in expanding international cooperation projects, building Silk Road Colleges, and developing international courses.

Subsequently, both parties engaged in a multi-faceted discussion and exchange on the operation and management of China-foreign cooperative education programs, the development of international course resources, recruitment for international students, talent cultivation models, and daily management practices. Regarding the operational management of these programs, both sides pooled their ideas to explore feasible measures for the sustainable development of international projects. Particularly in talent cultivation, they focused on the construction of international course resources, delved into the integration of curriculum systems with international professional standards, and jointly explored models for cultivating international talents. In terms of expanding recruitment channels for international students, setting scholarship standards, and daily management, both sides conducted practical and in-depth discussions based on the specific conditions and characteristics of their institutions.

After the symposium, both sides expressed that in the future, they should strengthen exchanges, pool wisdom, work together to overcome common problems encountered in the process of international education, jointly explore effective ways to improve the quality and efficiency of international education, and inject vitality and impetus into the high-quality and connotative development of vocational education internationalization.
