Although he has been staying for two days, Xu Minzhe is still excited when he looks at the strange and novel things in Zhejiang Zheneng Natural Gas Operation Co., Ltd.
Xu Minzhe is a sophomore in the Zhejiang Institute of Mechanical & Electrical Engineering. He also has another identity: he is a student of the first new apprenticeship class of the "Zhejiang Energy College", a secondary college of Zhejiang Institute of Mechanical & Electrical Engineering. There are 56 students in this special class.
On Tuesday (May 12th), a special opening ceremony was held in the lecture hall on the 4th floor of the comprehensive building of Binjiang Campus of Zhejiang Institute of Mechanical & Electrical Engineering. Leaders and guests from the school, Zhejiang Energy Group, Zhejiang Electromechanical Group, together with Xu Minzhe and classmates to celebrate the opening of the class. On the second day of the opening ceremony, some classmates went to the company to do internships.
"This opening ceremony marked the official operation of the 'Zhejiang Energy Academy', which was unveiled in 2018. It also marked the beginning of the practice of a new model of the 'dual system' of new apprentices. These children are regarded as the first batch of "getting the tide" in the Energy College." said Zhang Yao, deputy dean of Zhejiang Institute of Mechanical & Electrical Engineering.

The First New Apprenticeship Class of Zhejiang Energy College was established
"For us, the previous recruitment threshold was 985, 211 colleges or graduates from key universities in the industry. Besides, there are also labor dispatched employees. However, the graduates in this class are the application-oriented and operational high-skilled talents required by the group. If they pass the assessment, they will be directly hired and become regular employees of the group." Huang Jianfei, deputy director of the organization department of Zheneng Group, told reporters that it is a bold attempt for enterprises to participate in the cultivation of skilled talents deeply.
However, it is not easy for students to seize this rare opportunity and get this boat ticket to board a state-owned enterprise.
Guan Qingyang of Class 1803 of Electric introduced: "We are the lucky winners out of the 200 applicants. In the previous selection, after several rounds of interviews and assessments, the written test content includes viewing freshman transcripts and passing two interviews and one physical examination. After being tested, we became the first batch of students of Energy College."
Guan Qingyang said that he was very grateful to the school and the Energy Group for giving them such an opportunity to build such a platform for them to learn and communicate so that they can contact companies, employers, and society before they leave school, understand the needs of enterprises and the needs of the community, and let them learn from experience and use it to repay the society.
Fei Wangliang, who had been a soldier for two years, was unusually tall in the class. He entered the Zhejiang Institute of Mechanical & Electrical Engineering through a "single exam and single recruit". At the ceremony site, Fei Wangliang was full of longing for the future. "I also know that entering this class is not the end, but the starting point. I want to seize this rare opportunity to study and practice with my heart and become a real high-quality technical skills talent. I hope that after graduation next year, I will truly become a member of the Zheneng Group!"
Xu Minzhe also said with emotion: "The most important thing for success is its endpoint, not its starting point. Today, we start here, water the harvest with sweat, and work hard to make sure that we will create the most beautiful scenery in life. Although we cannot become the best person in the world, we can be the best self."

School Set Up Bases, Enterprises Open Classes, School-Enterprise Cooperation Educates People
New Apprenticeship "the Dual System" Training Model Is Innovative
Do things based on the first line, keep it, use it, and sink it. This is Vice President Zhang Yao's evaluation of the Zhejiang Institute of Mechanical & Electrical Engineering graduates.
Zhang Yao said: "Our school trains nearly 4,000 high-quality technical talents for society and enterprises every year. If general education is a 'shortboard education', which one makes up the disadvantage, whose purpose is to make the total score higher, then vocational education is a 'longboard education'. Students do not need to be all-round talents, but to become a craftsman who has done a long time in the profession and specialized in the ultimate."
For more than 60 years of running schools, Zhejiang Institute of Mechanical & Electrical Engineering has always attached great importance to the integration of industry and education, school-enterprise cooperation, and adhered to the development path of "combining industry and regional development, teaching and scientific research, cultivation and training in parallel."
The newly unveiled new apprenticeship class will be based on the "Zheneng" standard to formulate a modular curriculum system and talent training program. Both schools and enterprises will try to develop a new model of "new dual apprenticeship" and build "in-school learning- Practice of Posts-Technical Skill Upgrading", a new model for skill development.
On the one hand, by building on-campus productive training bases to match the characteristics of corporate talent demand, schools and enterprises jointly promote the reform of the discipline system, restructure the curriculum system and reorganize the curriculum content, and highlight the cultivation of technical skills and hands-on operational capabilities of students.
On the other hand, companies will provide practical training for students and create employment for outstanding students. It will arrange students to take on-the-job internships in enterprises, and connect internship training with on-site production to improve students' ability to deal with on-site problems. At the same time, students are organized to study in the master studio of the Zheneng Group, and the skill masters in the Zheneng Group, and students will be paired to carry out precision improvement training.
Zhang Yao said: "Our teaching is flexible. According to the actual situation, students carry out staged learning in schools and enterprises and work alternates. Zhejiang Energy College provides 1,000 RMB per month, and employers provide catering subsidies, insurance, accommodation, etc. The internship enterprise instructor and college jointly manage this."

Want to Build A National Benchmark For School-Enterprise Cooperation in Education
"Cultivation of skilled talents is first and foremost of market demand. Government departments and other agencies can provide guidance or assistance, but they cannot arrange this market-oriented, professional, and constantly changing 'technical job.' Enterprises are deeply involved in the cultivation of skilled talents. They have the inherent advantage of "irreplaceable" by the government and universities." said Jiang Zhiqiang, chairman of Zhejiang Zheneng Enterprise Management Training Service Co., Ltd.
For specific reasons, Jiang Zhiqiang said four things in a row: first is that enterprises are familiar with "market signals"; second is to master the production process; third is to have a technical team; fourth is to possess "timely fresh" equipment, which has a guiding significance to ensure that students are familiar with the production process and master job skills.
Jin Wenbing, Dean of the School of Automation, Zhejiang Institute of Mechanical & Electrical Engineering, said: "A graduate has more than ten positions to choose from, which is very common in our college. But we hope to cooperate with enterprises for a long time, make the school-enterprise cooperation solid, strong and big, realize mutual benefit and win-win, and create a national benchmark for school-enterprise cooperation in education."
Zhang Yao, deputy dean of Zhejiang Institute of Mechanical & Electrical Engineering, added: "I think that the transformation and upgrading of an enterprise are simply to reduce costs, improve quality, and increase efficiency. To achieve this goal, the key point is on the front line, and the professional quality and skill level of the grassroots employees is crucial. Through such school-enterprise cooperation, we look forward to cultivating and creating a batch of high-quality, high-level, and highly competitive skilled talents."
