From February 11th, students from Zhejiang Institute of Mechanical & Electrical Engineering will be in front of the computer on time every day, learning new semester courses with a unique experience of distance teaching.
After receiving the request of the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Education to "postpone the start of the school but non-stop teaching and learning", Zhejiang Institute of Mechanical & Electrical Engineering made full use of the "Internet + teaching" method to promote the in-depth integration of information technology and education, to carry out distance education teaching activities and students tutoring to ensure students' learning needs and learning quality, to minimize the impact of epidemic prevention and control on teaching in the new semester.

Professor Wang Penghui recorded hand-painted micro-classes and used Tencent Cloud Classroom to conduct online teaching. On the first day of school, the statistics of the WeChat data platform showed that the cumulative number of students who are studying using Wechat in Zhejiang Institute of Mechanical & Electrical Engineering was 6,312, and the cumulative learning time was 13,852 minutes. A total of 531 classes have been completed in the school (2 class hours per class, 40 minutes per class). Except for juniors who have entered the graduation stage, a total of 193 classes have started distance teaching, with an average of 5-6 courses per class, and the student online time was about 4 hours. In the current epidemic situation, while the college requires professional education, it will also formulate teaching schedule management, teaching plan management, teaching platform management and usage teaching management of distance learning, teaching seminars, teaching management and monitoring work, and related work processes and responsibilities such as teaching workload calculation. Moreover, our Institute will adequately manage the off-campus internships and actively improve the level of teacher informatization.
