On the morning of May 14, Tian Li, deputy director of the Political and Cultural Department of the People's Daily, Zhao Yanna, editor-in-chief of the weekly magazine, and Chen Xing, director of the Information Department of the General Office of Education, China Education News, China Education Television and other central media reporters came to our institution for the purpose of research and study. Chen Hong, the deputy director of the Office of the Provincial Department of Education, and Hou Wei, the director of the Vocational Education Department, is also in accompany.

In the conference room on the 19th floor of the comprehensive building, the medias listened to the report of Ding Jinchang, the president of our institute, on the basic schooling situation of ZIME. With cultivating talented individuals and serving the local economic development as ZIME’s main purpose, Dean Ding mainly introduced the following topics: transfer of patent technology results, teacher training and social training, the “two-three+X” system training model, and the use of market mechanisms to promote the integration of production and education, the construction of intelligent manufacturing training bases, and the international cooperation model of “introduction, localization, and propagation”. Dean Ding believed that the college will conscientiously implement the "National Vocational Education Reform Implementation Plan" and continue to function as the base of training talented individuals for the advanced manufacturing industry in Zhejiang Province and play the role of the "National High-skilled Talents Training Project" in the Ministry of Education. In all, Zime will continuously dedicate to train and provide talented persons with compounded skills.

Shortly after, Dean Ding Jinchang accepted interviews from the People’s Daily, China Education News and China Education Television. He answered questions regarding to the training for talented persons in a professional and forward-looking perspective, as well as how to develop from helping the local economy to leading enterprise technology and regional economy. Finally, he elaborated on how to properly train our talented persons for the industry and the country.

Accompanied by leaders of the party committee Huang Daoping and vice president of ZIME Wang Jianlin, the central media reporters attended the digital workshop, digital production line, precision mold manufacturing center, flexible manufacturing production line, “Zhejiang Zhizao” public training base, and intelligent control technology center. They also visited the 3D printing application technology training base, the manufacture of 3D printing technology training base along with several other bases. Some professors were interviewed for the construction of training bases.

When the visit to ZIME is over, media reporters who is accompanied by the party secretary Huang Daoping and the vice president Wang Jianlin, went to Zhejiang Dahua Technology Co., Ltd., which is closely cooperating with the college. After visiting the company, medias interviewed the vice president of Dahua Technology China, Wu Shaodong, who is an alumnus of our school. Ying Yong, vice president of Zhejiang Dahua Technology Co., Ltd., also communicated with the media on behalf of the company; Binjiang District Standing Committee, Propaganda Minister Shen Jian, and Vice Minister Yu Xiaoping were also part of this visit.
