Professional features: Intelligent Manufacturing course is one of the Sino-British cooperative programs organized by ‘ZUME-LSBU Digital Technology Joint School’, established in 2022. It awards a college graduation certificate in Intelligent Manufacturing. The course is industry-oriented, competency-based, and highlights the English language. A modularized course structure is applied to train skilled technicians who can implement mechanical design, electrical control, manufacturing processing, intelligent production management, and cross-cultural communication in modern manufacturing fields. Additionally, the course recruits overseas students who are expected to serve the countries along ‘the Belt and Road’ after their graduation. The modules that constitute the courses are jointly developed and validated by ZUME and LSBU, and are taught bilingually in English and Chinese. Therefore, intensive English/Chinese language training is included in the first year. The academic faculty consists of 9 full-time teachers and 4 part-time teachers selected from senior technical personnel of the local industry. All teachers have relevant work experience, overseas learning or further education experience, and are able to perform bilingual communication and teaching. A practical platform integrates theory and practice. Relying on modern multimedia classrooms, experimental and training equipment connected to real job positions, abundant online course resources, personalized student innovation studios, and internship centers located in local companies, the form and venue of training are not restricted to a particular style. Learning outcomes are composed of multiple assessments such as classroom performance, regular quizzes, practical operations, online learning records, and final exams, enabling students to acquire knowledge, skills, and occupational qualities in real or simulated work environments. Graduates have broad options, such as becoming mechanical manufacturing technicians, electricians, sales and service staff. They can also further their education for a bachelor's or master's degree domestically or abroad.
